The Ebro Battle

The campsite is in the middle of one of the bloodiest scenarios of the Spanish Civil War, the Ebro Battle. You can find signs of this conflict everywhere, for example, just in front of the campsite there is an old railway tunnel which is full of bullets impacts.

Although there are several points of interest indicated, where you can visit trenches and fortifications, the fact is that is full of them. Near the campsite, Punta del Duc and els barrancs Villalba dels Arcs are some of the most visited spots.

Ebro Battle recreation

Each year, the last weekend of July, the Ebro Battle recreation organized by the Museum of Fayón, is performed. It is a unique opportunity to experience what that conflict meant.

Ebro Battle museums

We have already talked about the largest museum of Spain dedicated only to the Ebro Battle in Fayón. Also in Terra Alta there are multiple interpretive centers and several indicated routes, including Punta del Duc. You have more information on the COMEBE website.
